How We Learn...

In first grade art, students continue learning about the media they encountered in kindergarten, creating artworks in crayon, pencil, marker, clay, paint, and more! This year, students work to improve their observational skills and push their creativity with new project options.

Art Shirts

Oversize shirts or smocks are a great idea to help keep students' clothing clean during art class. These are best kept in a gallon zip top bag with the student's name written on the outside. A name on the shirt itself is a good idea, too!
