Your child will receive either an M (meeting expectations), P(progressing towards goal), or I (improvement needed) on assignments and report cards. Please see below for district explanations. 

M- Satisfactory academic performance indicating a solid understanding and adequate displays of the skills included in the Pennsylvania Academic Content Standards. This is the accepted grade-level performance.

P-Progressing towards, but not yet reaching, satisfactory performance. Performance indicates a progression towards understanding and adequate display of the skills included in the Pennsylvania Academic Content Standards.

I- Marginal academic performance, work approaching, but not yet reaching, satisfactory performance. Performance indicates a partial understanding and limited display of the skills included in the Pennsylvania Academic Content Standards, and the student may need additional instructional opportunities and/or increased student academic

Our program includes practice of these skills in whole class 

instruction and small group instruction (students are grouped by their reading levels).

 Math Curriculum:  PA Common Core with “Go Math!”


•Chapter 1-  Addition concepts (addition to 10)
•Chapter 2- Subtraction concepts (Subtraction from 10 or less)
•Chapter 3- Addition concepts (count on, adding doubles, adding 3 numbers, add 10 and more)
•Chapter 4- Subtraction (count back, use addition to subtract, use 10 to subtract)
•Chapter 5- Addition and subtraction relationships
•Chapter 6- Count and model numbers (count by ones to 120, count by tens to 120, place value- ones and tens place to 100, model read and write numbers to 120)
•Chapter 7- Compare numbers (greater than, less than, 10 less, 10 more)
•Chapter 8- Two-digit addition and subtraction ( add and subtract within 20, add and subtract tens, use a hundreds chart to add, use place value to add)
•Chapter 9- Measurement (comparing lengths of objects, use nonstandard measuring tools, tell time to the hour and half-hour)
•Chapter 10- Represent data (read and make picture graphs, tally graphs, and bar graphs)
•Chapter 11- Three-dimensional geometry
•Chapter 12-  Two- dimensional geometry

** Fact Fluency- addition and subtraction facts within 10
