*If children are eating breakfast, they will walk directly from the bus/car to the dining room. They will eat breakfast in the dining room before they come to the classroom.

**On Cycle Day 3 specials will be from 2:40-3:20 only for Marking Periods 1 and 3.

Your child will receive either an M (meeting expectations), P(progressing towards goal), or I (improvement needed) on assignments and report cards. Please see below for district explanations. 

M- Satisfactory academic performance indicating a solid understanding and adequate displays of the skills included in the Pennsylvania Academic Content Standards. This is the accepted grade-level performance.

P-Progressing towards, but not yet reaching, satisfactory performance. Performance indicates a progression towards understanding and adequate display of the skills included in the Pennsylvania Academic Content Standards.

I- Marginal academic performance, work approaching, but not yet reaching, satisfactory performance. Performance indicates a partial understanding and limited display of the skills included in the Pennsylvania Academic Content Standards, and the student may need additional instructional opportunities and/or increased student academic 

Communication

●Take home folders- Important notes, lunch money, and forms for the teacher or office can be placed in the take home folder. Important notes and forms from school will also come home in this folder.  Please check the folder every night!

●Newsletters- Important and upcoming information will be shared on a weekly newsletter. This can be found in the take home folder or in your e-mail.

Birthdays

Birthdays:

Please notify me at least one day before if you plan on sending in birthday treats. The district policy is that any edible treats must be in original packaging with a label of ingredients. Please be mindful that some students may have allergies. Non-edible treats (pencils, notebooks, small prizes, etc.) are also a great option! J

Volunteers

Volunteers:

Please let me know if you would like to be a classroom volunteer. Jobs include helping students with projects, helping students with schoolwork, helping to create materials for projects, and more! You MUST be a School Board approved volunteer with Donegal School District.
