Bio

For the 2017-2018 school year I will be working with:

Half-Day Kindergarten and Second Grade

I am happy to help in any way that I can and am passionate about supporting students' academic, social, and emotional needs so that they can find success in all aspects of their educational journey!

Our Guidance Department at DPS uses the Second Step Program to teach classroom lessons on 4 different units. The units are: Skills for Learning, Empathy, Emotion Management, and Problem Solving.

School Counselors are responsible for teaching the School Guidance Curriculum while they also run small groups and individual counseling sessions with students, provide overall system support, provide consultation, provide crisis intervention and help to make referrals to appropriate resources.
