DPS Assistant Principal

The 2016-2017 school year marks the 4th year that I have been given the privilege to serve Donegal Primary School in the role of Assistant Principal.  You may remember me as "Amy Haffly."  I am pleased to announce that in July of 2016, I got married and am now proud to be Mrs. Amy Wise.  It has been so rewarding to personally witness what makes Donegal such a tremendous learning community.  There is such a great sense of pride, and so well-deserved.

Although it is my 4th year serving the Donegal community, it is my 19th year as an educator.  Making this career choice was simple for me. As my mother and father say, "Amy wanted to be a teacher since she was in third grade.  She so adored Mrs. Frankhouse, her third grade teacher, and dreamed of nothing more than to be just like her."  In pursuit of this dream, I graduated from Bloomsburg University summa cum laude in 1998 with a dual major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education as well as a Concentration in Spanish.  I continued my education for another six years at the Pennsylvania State University where I earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction in addition to a Principal's Certification K-12.

It is my pleasure to serve the Donegal community...  I am Donegal Proud!
